(1) The Consolidation Officer shall cause to be prepared a new record-of-rights in accordance with the provisions contained in chapter IV of the Himachal Pradesh Land Revenue Act, 1954 (Act No. 6 of 1954), as applicable to the areas which formed part of Himachal Pradesh immediately before the 1st day of November, 1966 or in Chapter IV of the Punjab Land Revenue Act, 1887 (17 of 1887), as applicable to the areas added to Himachal Pradesh under section 5 of the Punjab Reorganisation Act, 1966 (31 of 1966), as the case may be, in so far as these provisions may be applicable, for the areas under consolidation, giving effect to the repartition and orders in respect thereof made under the preceding section.
(2) Such record-of-rights shall be deemed to have been prepared under section 35 of the Himachal Pradesh Land Revenue Act, 1954 (Act No.6 of 1954), as applicable to the areas which formed part of Himachal Pradesh immediately before the 1 st day of November, 1966 or section 34 of the Punjab Land Revenue Act, 1887 (17 of 1887), as applicable to the areas added to Himachal Pradesh under section 5 of the Punjab Re-organisation Act, 1966 (31 of 1966), as the case may be.
