Section 22: Power of Authority to turn or close public path or street

The Himachal Pradesh Housing and Urban Development Authority Act, 2004State Act of Himachal Pradesh · Act 9 of 2004

(1) The Authority may turn, divert, discontinue the public use of or permanently close, any public path or street or any part thereof vested in it.

(2) Whenever the Authority discontinues the public use of or permanently closes any public street or any part thereof, vested in it, it shall as far as practicable provide some other reasonable means of access to be substituted in lieu of the use by those entitled to the use of the street or part thereof.

(3) When any public street vested in the Authority is permanently closed under sub-section (1), the Authority may utilize the same as per the scheme.
