Section 15: Security deposit and refund of security

the Himachal Pradesh Minor Minerals (Concession) and Minerals (Prevention of Illegal Mining, Transportation and Storage) Rules, 2015State Rules of Himachal Pradesh · 1957

(1) The applicant shall deposit as security a sum as specified in the First Schedule in the shape of fixed deposit receipt (FDR) duly pledged in favour of the Director for due observance of terms and conditions of Lease deed.

(2) On such date as the Government may fix within twelve calendar months after the expiry of mining lease, the amount of the security deposit paid in respect of mining lease shall be refunded to the lessee(s), if there is no violation of terms and conditions of lease deed.
