Section 22: Right to surrender lease

the Himachal Pradesh Minor Minerals (Concession) and Minerals (Prevention of Illegal Mining, Transportation and Storage) Rules, 2015State Rules of Himachal Pradesh · 1957

The lessee may surrender the lease at any time by giving notice of not less than six calendar months in writing to the Competent Authority after paying all outstanding dues of the Government and fulfilling conditions of mine closure plan.
