Section 29: Power to take over management of institutions etc

The Himachal Pradesh Panchayati Raj Act, 1994State Act of Himachal Pradesh · Act 4 of 1994

Subject to rules made under this Act and the conditions agreed upon in writing, a Gram Panchayat may receive from any person any property vested in him, or the execution or maintenance of any work, or the performance of any duty, within its area:

Provided that no work of more than five thousand rupees shall be entrusted to, or undertaken by, a Gram Panchayat except with the previous approval of the Deputy Commissioner.
