Section 35: Transfer of criminal proceedings to the Gram Panchayat in certain cases

If, at any stage of the proceedings in a criminal case pending before a Magistrate, it appears that the case is triable by a Gram Panchayat, he 37 shall at once transfer the case to that Gram Panchayat which shall try the case de-novo.
