Section 7: Taxing Authorities

The Himachal Pradesh Passengers and Goods Taxation Act, 1955State Act of Himachal Pradesh · Act 15 of 1955

(1) For carrying out the purposes of this Act, the Commissioner may be assisted by such other person or persons as the State Government may appoint in this behalf.

(2) The Commissioner, and the person or persons appointed under sub-section (1) shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as may be assigned to them under this Act.

THE HIMACHAL PRADESH PASSENGERS AND GOODS TAXATION ACT, 1955 15 1 [7-A. Assistance to taxing authorities.- All police officers shall be bound to assist the Commissioner and all other persons appointed to assist him under sub-section (1) of section 7 of this Act, when required, in performance of their duties under this Act, and, for that purpose, shall have the same powers which they have in the discharge of their ordinary police duties.]
