Section 13: Archival Advisory Board

The Himachal Pradesh Public Records Act, 2006State Act of Himachal Pradesh · Act 24 of 2006

(1) The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, constitute an Archival Advisory Board for the purposes of this Act.

(2) The Board shall consist of the following members, namely:-

(a) Secretary, Language, Arts and Culture to the Government of Himachal Pradesh;

Chairman.

(b) Five officers not below the rank of Joint Secretary to the Government of Himachal Pradesh one each from the Department of Home, Finance, Personnel, General Administration Department and Urban Development;

Ex -officio members.

(c) Three persons to be nominated by the State Government for a period not exceeding three years, one being a Deputy Director (Archives) and one being Archivist or Technical Assistant and one being Professor in the Post-Graduate Department of History in any recognised University;

and Nominated members.

(d) Director, Language, Arts and Culture, Himachal Pradesh, Shimla.

Member- Secretary.

(3) The members nominated under clause (c) of sub-section (2) shall be paid such allowances as may be prescribed.
