If any person contravenes any of this Act or rules made thereunder, he shall be deemed to have committed a forest offence and the resin or resin product, if any, in respect of which such offence is committed shall in relation to the commission of such offence be deemed to be forest produce, and the provisions of Chapter IX of the Indian Forest Act, 1927 (16 of 1927) as in force in this State shall accordingly apply with necessary modifications.
