Section 29: Suit by and against Societies

The Himachal Pradesh Societies Registration Act, 2006State Act of Himachal Pradesh · Act 25 of 2006

Every Society may sue or be sued in the name of the President or Chairman or the Secretary or the Governing body, as the case may be, as shall be determined by the regulations of the Society and in default of such determination, in the name of such person as may be appointed by the Governing body for the occasion:

Provided that it shall be competent for any person having a claim or demand against the Society to sue the President or Chairman or the Secretary or the Governing body, if on application to the Governing body some other officers or person be not nominated to be the defendant.
