Section 5: Term of office

The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development and Registration Act, 2002State Act of Himachal Pradesh · Act 15 of 2002

(1) The term of office of the 1 [Vice-Chairman and the] non- official members shall be two years and they shall be eligible for reappointment.

(2) If the Government considers that the continuance in office of 2 [ the Vice-Chairman or] any non-official members is not in the interest of the Board, the Government may make an order terminating his term and thereupon, he shall cease to be a member of the Board notwithstanding the fact that the term to which he was nominated has not expired.

(3) 3 [The Vice-Chairman or any] non-official member of the Board may resign from his office by a letter addressed to the Chairman and the resignation shall take effect from the date of acceptance of his resignation by the Chairman.
