Section 54: Powers of Prescribed authority to summon and enforce attendance of witness and other persons

The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development and Registration Act, 2002State Act of Himachal Pradesh · Act 15 of 2002

The prescribed authority shall have all the powers of a Civil Court under the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 (5 of 1908), while hearing an application under this Act in respect of the following matters, namely:-

(a) summoning and enforcing attendance of the complainant or the person against whom complaint is made under this Act and witness required in connection therewith;

(b) compelling the production of any document; and

(c) examining witnesses on oath, and may summon and examine suo motu any person whose evidence appears to be material.
