Section 24: Penalty for abetment.

The Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025Central Act · Act 13 of 2025

(1) Whoever abets any offence punishable under sections 21 or 22 or 23 shall, if the act abetted is committed in consequence of the abetment, be punishable with the same punishment as provided for those offences.

(2) For the purposes of this section,---

(i) an act or offence is said to be committed in consequence of the abetment, when it is committed in consequence of the instigation, or in pursuance of the conspiracy, or with the aid which constitutes the offence;

(ii) the expression "abetment" shall have the same meaning as assigned to it under section 45 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (45 of 2023).
