Section 2: Definitions

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the Goa (Brackish Water) Fish Farming Regulation Act, 1991 (Act 9 of 1992), the Governm…State Rules of Goa · 1992

In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires- (a) "Act", means the Goa (Brackish Water) Fish Farming Regulation Act, 1991 (Act 9 of 1992)

(b) "Chief Executive Officer" means an officer appointed by the licensing authority;

(c) "Directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries." and includes the Director of Fisheries of the Government; means the Director of Agriculture

(d) "lawful authority" means the Collector of specific District of North and South Goa:

(e) "Words and expressions used but not defined in these rules shall 'have the same meanings as assigned to them in the Act.
