Section 3: Manner of making application for registration of establishments

The Inter–State Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) (Tamil Nadu) Rules, 1983State Rules of Tamil Nadu · 1979

(1) The application for registration of an establishment referred to in sub-section (1) of section 4 shall be made in triplicate, in Form I, to the registering officer of the area in which the establishment sought to be registered is located.

(2) Such application shall be accompanied by a treasury receipt 1[or by proof of online payment through the online portal of the Directorate of the Industrial Safety and Health or proof of online payment through online portal of the Commissionerate of Labour] showing the payment of fees for the registration of the establishment.

2[(3) Every application referred to in sub-rule (1) shall be made through online portal of the Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health or through online portal of the Commissionerate of Labour or personally delivered to the registering officer concerned or sent to him by registered post].

(4) On receipt of the application referred to in sub-rule (1), the registering officer shall, after noting therein the date of receipt by him of the application, give an acknowledgement to the applicant.
