Section 5: Standard weight and remedy allowed

Issue of Commiserative Coin on the occasion of Centenary of Jallianwala Bagh Massacre) Rules, 2019.Central Rules · 2011

The standard weight of the coins of above denomination coined to commiserate the occasion of Centenary of Jallianwala Bagh Massacre and the remedy allowed in making of such coin shall be as specified in the Second Schedule to these rules.

FIRST SCHEDULE (See Rule 4) ONE HUNDRED RUPEES OBVERSE:

This face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend “स�यमेव जयत”े inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word “भारत” in Devnagri script and on the right periphery with the word “INDIA” in English. It shall also bear the Rupee symbol “`̀̀̀” and denominational value “100” in the International Numerals below the Lion Capitol.

REVERSE:

This face of coin shall bear the picture of Memorial of Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. The inscription “ज�लयांवाला बाग नरसंहार शताब ् द�” in Devanagri script and “Centenary of Jallianwala Bagh Massacre” in English shall be written on the upper and lower periphery of the coin. The year “2019” in International Numeral shall be flanked at bottom of the monument.

1/100 th plus or minus, that is to say weight could be 34.65 grams to 35.35 grams.
