Section 1: Short title, extent and commencement.

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education Act, 1975Union territory Act of Jammu and Kashmir · Act 28 of 1975

(1) this Act may be called the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education Act, 1975.

(2) It extends to the [whole of the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir].

(3) This section shall come into force at once and the other provisions of this Act shall come into force on such date as the Government may by notification in the [Government Gazette] appoint.

[(4) Nothing in this Act shall affect the application of the Right of Children to Free Education Act, 2009 (35 of 2009)].
