Section 21: Manner of exercising vote.

The Jammu and Kashmir Co-Operative Societies Act, 1989Union territory Act of Jammu and Kashmir · Act 10 of 1989

(1) Every member of a Co-operative Society shall exercise his vote in person and no member shall be permitted to vote by proxy.

(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1) a Cooperative Society which is a member of another Co-operative Society may, subject to any rules made under this Act authorise one of its members to vote on its behalf in the affairs of that other Society.
