Section 22-AT: Compounding of Offence.

The Jammu and Kashmir Development Act, 1970Union territory Act of Jammu and Kashmir · Act 21 of 1970

(1) The Corporation or any person authorized by the Corporation by general or special order in this behalf may, either before or after the institution of the proceedings compound any offence made punishable by or under this Chapter.

(2) Where an offence is compounded the offender, if in custody shall be discharged and no further proceedings, shall be taken against him in respect of the offence compounded.
