Section 29: Composition of Offences.

The Jammu and Kashmir Development Act, 1970Union territory Act of Jammu and Kashmir · Act 21 of 1970

(1) Any offence made punishable by or under this Act, may, either before or after the institution of proceedings, be compounded by the Authority or any person authorised by the Authority by general or special order in this behalf.

(2) Where an offence has been compounded the offender, if in custody, shall be discharged and no further proceeding shall be taken against him in respect of the offence compounded.
