In this Order unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context :—
(a) ‘Act’ means the Jammu and Kashmir Ferry Boats Control Act, 1971 ;
(b) ‘Appellate Authority’ means the Divisional Commissioner of the concerned province ;
(c) ‘Competent Authority’ means the Deputy Commissioner of the District ;
(d) ‘Fare’ means and includes sums payable in respect of hire or transport of any carriage ;
(e) ‘Form’ means form appended to this order ;
(f) ‘Registering Authority’ means the concerned Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) or Sub-Divisional Magistrate as the case may be.
