Section 1: Short title, extent and commencement.

The Jammu and Kashmir Ferry Boats Control Act, 1971Union territory Act of Jammu and Kashmir · Act 18 of 1971

(1) This Act may be called the Jammu and Kashmir Ferry Boats Control Act, 1971.

(2) It shall extend to the [whole of the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir].

(3) It shall come into force on such date as the [Government of the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir] may by notification specify in this behalf and different dates may be specified for different areas.
