The Jammu and Kashmir Gift Goods (Unlawful Possession) Act, 1963Union territory Act of Jammu and Kashmir · Act 40 of 1963

(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in [the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974)], any offence under this Act shall be deemed to be cognizable offence within the meaning of that Code.

(2) No Court below a [Judicial Magistrate] of the first class shall try any offence under this Act.
