Where immediately before the commencement of this Act, the University of Jammu and Kashmir was a party to any legal proceedings with respect to any property, rights, or liabilities, the University of Kashmir or the University of Jammu which succeeds to acquire a share in that property or those rights or liabilities by virtue of this Act shall be deemed to be substituted for the University of Jammu and Kashmir as a party to those proceedings and the proceedings may continue accordingly.
