[59. Validation.—The Statutes passed by the University Council of Jammu at its meeting held on 30th March, 1973 and assented to by the Chancellor on Ist April, 1973 shall be and shall always be deemed to be valid notwithstanding that the assent of the Chancellor to the said Statutes was not published in the [Government Gazette] as was required under clause (c) of sub-section (4) of section 41 of the Kashmir and Jammu Universities Act, 1969 and accordingly––

(a) the Statutes aforesaid shall—

(i) continue to be in force unless and until altered or superseded under this Act ;

(ii) not be called in question on the ground that assent of the Chancellor thereto was not published in the [Government Gazette] ; and

(b) anything done, any action taken or order made in pursuance of the said Statutes shall be and shall always be deemed to have been validly done, taken or made.]
