Section 1: Short title, extent and commencement.

The Jammu and Kashmir Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1957Union territory Act of Jammu and Kashmir · Act 26 of 1957

(1) This Act may be called the Jammu and Kashmir Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1957.

(2) It extends to the [whole of the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir].

[(3) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification in the [Government Gazetteicc9563, appoint.]
