The municipality may, and, if so required by the Government, shall, make provision for the supervision of the construction, and may do all acts and things which may, from time to time, be necessary for the purpose of ensuring––
(a) that the storage reservoirs and other works, as aforesaid, are constructed and carried out, as the case may be, in accordance with the requirements of the notice given under the preceding section ; and
(b) that all such reservoirs and other works are of sufficient strength and durability, and may cause any such reservoirs or any other works as do not comply with the requirement of the notice or are unsuitable or insecure, to be removed and reconstructed or replaced to the satisfaction of the municipality.
