Section 140: Connection with main not to be made without permission of municipality

The Jammu and Kashmir Municipal Act, 2000Union territory Act of Jammu and Kashmir · Act 20 of 2000

(1) No person shall without the permission of municipality, at any time make or cause to be made, any connection or communication with any cable, wire, pipe, ferrute, drain, sewerage, channel constructed or maintained in the municipality for any purpose whatsoever.

(2) Any person acting in contravention of the term of sub-section (1) shall be punishable with a fine which shall not be less than one hundred rupees and more than one thousand rupees.
