Section 290: Appearance before the authorised officer.

Any appearance, application or act before the authorised officer may be made or done by the party in person or by a pleader duly appointed to act on his behalf :

Provided that it shall be open to the authorised officer to direct any party to appear in person whenever the authorised officer considers it necessary.
