Section 296: Conditions of service of Safai Karamcharies and certain other classes of persons employed in Corporation services.

(1) No person being a Safai Karamchari employed in the Corporation service shall in the absence of any contract authorising him so to do, resign his employment without having given one month’s notice to the Commissioner or shall abstain himself or neglect or refuse to perform his duties without reasonable cause.

(2) The Corporation may by resolution direct that on or from such date as may be specified in the resolution, the provisions of this section shall apply in the case of any specified class of persons employed by the Corporation whose functions are intimately concerned with public health or safety.
