Section 61: Youthful offenders.

The Jammu and Kashmir Panchayati Raj Act, 1989Union territory Act of Jammu and Kashmir · Act 9 of 1989

Subject to the provisions of [section 562] of the [Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974)], a Panchayati Adalat may, instead of passing sentence, discharge, after due admonition an offender who in its opinion was on the date of the commission of offence not over [eighteen years of age].
