Section 79-A: Government’s power to specify role of Halqa Panchayats, etc.

(1) The Government may, by general or special order, specify from time to time, the role of Halqa Panchayats, Block Development Council and District Development Council, in respect of the programmes, schemes and activities related to the functions specified in the Schedules, in order to ensure properly coordinated and effective implementation of such programmes, schemes and activities.

(2) The Government may, by notification, in the Official Gazette add any activity, programme or scheme to those covered by or mentioned in Schedules, and on the issue of such notification, the Schedules shall be deemed to have been amended accordingly and every such notification shall be placed before the Legislative Assembly.
