Section 1: Short title, extent and commencement

The Prevention of Ribbon Development Act, 2007 (1950 a . D.)Union territory Act of Jammu and Kashmir · Act 26 of 2007

(1) This Act may be called the Prevention of Ribbon Development Act, 2007.

(2) It shall extend to [the whole of the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir] excepting the areas [other than roads maintained by the [Central Government or the Public Works Department of the [State]] included within the limits of municipalities and town areas.

(3) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification, direct.
