Section 1: Short title, extent and commencement.

The Jammu and Kashmir Saffron Act, 2007Union territory Act of Jammu and Kashmir · Act 5 of 2007

(1) This Act may be called the Jammu and Kashmir Saffron Act, 2007.

(2) It shall extend to [the whole of the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir].

(3) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification in the [Official Gazette], appoint and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of the Act and for different areas.
