Section 1: Short title, extent and com-mencement.

(1) This Act may be called the Jammu and Kashmir Sheep and Sheep Products Development Board Act, 1979.

(2) It extends to the [whole of the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir].

[(3) It shall come into force on such date as the [Government of the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir] may, by notification in the [Government Gazette], appoint in this behalf.]
