Section 26: Modification of Land Acquisi-tion Act.

The Jammu and Kashmir State Town Planning Act, 1963Union territory Act of Jammu and Kashmir · Act 20 of 1963

Immovable property required for the purposes of a town-planning scheme shall be deemed to be land needed for a public purpose within the meaning of the [the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (30 of 2013)], and may be acquired––

(a) under the said Act, or

(b) under the said Act as modified in the manner hereinafter provided in this Chapter.
