Section 5: Appointment of Prohibition authorities and their powers and duties

(1) The authorities specified in sub-section (1) of section 4 shall be appointed by the Governor and shall exercise and perform in the prescribed areas the prescribed powers and duties, and their conditions of powers and duties, and their conditions of service (in the case of authorities other than honorary authorities) and their relation to each other shall be such as may be prescribed.

(2) The Provincial Government may, at any time, by notification withdraw from any of the said authorities any or all of the powers referred to in sub-section (1).
