Section 141: Clearances

The Building and Other Construction Workers' (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Jharkhand Rules, 2006State Rules of Jharkhand · 1996

The employer shall ensure at a construction site of a building or other construction work that-

(a) the minimum lateral clearance of half a metre is maintained between any part of a vehicle and any fixture or any equipment used in an excavation or tunnelling work after allowing the throw or swing of such fixture or equipment ;

(b) the overhead clearance for a locomotive drive at excavation or tunnelling work is not less than one point one zero metre above the seat of such driver and of less than two metres above the platform where such driver stands or of any other dimension in accordance with the relevant national standard.
