Section 143: Use of internal combustion engine

The Building and Other Construction Workers' (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Jharkhand Rules, 2006State Rules of Jharkhand · 1996

The employer shall ensure at a construction site of a building or other construction work that no internal combustion engine is used underground in excavation or tunnelling work unless such engine is so constructed that-

(a) the air entering the engine gets cleared before entry ; and

(b) no fumes or sparks are emitted by the engine.
