(1) The Board shall consist of:-
(i) A Chairperson - The Labour Commissioner, Jharkhand will be the Ex-officio Chairperson of the Board.
(ii) One member nominated by the Central Government.
(iii) Not more than five persons representing the building and other construction workers nominated by Government of which one member shall be a woman.
(iv) Not more than five persons from among the employers of construction and other building workers nominated by Government.
(v) Not more than five members representing the state Government of whom one shall be a representative of Finance Department, one shall be a representative of Law Department, one shall be a representative of Public Works Department and the remaining two members as nominated by the State Government.
(2 ) The number of members nominated under clause (iii), (iv) and ( v) of sub - rule (1) shall be equal.
(3) The term of office of the member of the Board other than the official members shall be 3 years from the date of their appointments:
Provided that the members may continue in office till their successors are appointed:
Provided further that in no case the members shall continue in office beyond a period of four years from the date of their appointment.
