(1)The Board pays an amount of Rs.1000 per month as disability pension to a beneficiary who is permanently disabled due to paralysis, leprosy, T.B., accident etc. He will be eligible for an ex-gratia payment of not more than Rs.10,000 depending upon the percentage of disability and subject to such conditions as may be fixed by the Board. The Board may with previous approval of the Government revise the pension and ex-gratia amount.
(2) The disability pension shall be payable from the date of disablement.
(3) The beneficiary of disability pension shall be paid pension admissible under sub-rule (5) of Rule 282 from the first day of the succeeding to the month in which he completes 60 years of age or the disability pension whichever is higher.
(4) A beneficiary who is in receipt of compensation under the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1923, shall not be entitled for disability pension under sub rule (1) and (2) but will receive pension under sub rule (5) of Rule 282 from the first day of succeeding to the month to which he completes 60 years of age.
(5) The application for disability pension and ex-gratia payment under sub-rule ( 1) shall be made in Form No.XXXVI with such certificate, and other documents as may be specified by the Board.
