Section 35: Notice of demand

If any tax is payable by aAssessee/Proprietor under the Act or the rules, the prescribed authority shall serve a notice in Form JENT-402 and shall also fix a date on which the Assessee/Proprietor shall produce the challan in proof of the payment made by him.
