These rules may be called the Jharthand Highways Rules, 20A7.

2, Definitions. - ln these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,.

(a) "Act" means the Jharkhand Highways Act, 2005;

(h) ! Executive Engineef means an olfiqer of the Hoad Construction Department Government of Jharkhand (in charge of a division) having that designaiion and being in ,charge of particular: roadi bridge, tunnel or eauseway i ocated on the Highway and who is appointed by the State Government under Section 6 of-the Jharkhand Highqys Act; 2005 to work under Highway Autfrority.

(c) "Fa*ni',m*ans a form,appended to these rules;

(d) "itlotor vehicle" has the same meaning as per the Motor Vehicles Act in force.
