Section 68: Power for State Government to modify application of Act to certain inland mechanically propelled vessels

The State Government may, 4 *** by notification in the Official Gazette, declare that all or any of the provisions of 5 [Chapters II, IIA and III] shall not

35 apply in the case of any specified class of 1 [mechanically propelled vessels], or shall apply to them with such modifications as may be specified in the notification„ 2 [69. Exemption to Government vessels from fees.—The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, exempt all or any mechanically propelled vessel belonging to or in the service of Government from payment of any fees payable by or under this Act.]
