In these rules unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,-
(a) “Act” means the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972.
(b) “appellate authority” means the State Government or the authority specified by the State Government under sub-section (7) of section 7;
(c) “Form” means a form appended to these rules;
(d) “nomination” means nomination made under section 6;
(e)”Section” means a section of the Act.
