Section 2: Definitions

In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,-

(i) Academic Council means the Academic Council of the University constituted under section 19;

(ii) “Council” means the Governing Council of the University constituted under section 16;

(iii) Dean means the Deans of the University appointed under section 24;

(iv) “Director of Research and Development” means the Director of Research and Development of the University appointed under section 12;

(v) Director means the Directors of the Institutes of the University appointed under section 23;

(vi) Finance Committee means the Finance Committee of the University constituted under section 21;

(vii) “Financial Adviser” means the Financial Adviser of the University appointed under section 11;

(viii) prescribed means prescribed by the regulations;

(ix) “Pro Vice Chancellor” means the Pro Vice Chancellor of the University appointed under section 10;

(x) Registrar means the Registrar of the University appointed under section 13;

(xi) Statutes means the Statutes of the University made under section 35;

(xii) University means the Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University established and incorporated under section 3.

(xiii) Vice Chancellor means the Vice Chancellor of the University appointed under section 9;
