Section 28: Time of payment of wages

The wages of every migrant workman in an establishment of a contractor, where less than one thousand workmen are employed, shall be paid before expiry of the seventh day, and in other cases before the expiry of tenth day, after the last day of the wage period in respect of which the wages are payable :

Provided that if any migrant workman be absent until last day permissible under this rule the wages shall be paid brfore the expiry of three working days from the day on which he attends for work again or demands payment.
