Section 3: Terms of office of members

The Jharkhand Unorganized Workers’ Social Security Rules, 2013State Rules of Jharkhand · 2008

(1) A member, other than an ex-officio member, shall subject to the pleasure of the Government, hold office for a period not exceeding three years from the date of his nomination or till reconstitution of the Board, whichever is earlier.

(2) A member nominated under sub-clause (iii) of clause (c) of sub-section (2) of Section 6 shall cause to be member of the board, if he cease to be a member of the Legislative Assembly by which he was so elected.

(3) A member nominated under sub-clause (i), (ii) and

(iv) of clause (c) of sub-section (2) of Section 6 shall cease to be a member of the Board if he cease to represent the category from which he was so nominated.

Provided that out of seven persons nominated under sub-clause (i), one member each shall represent the Schedule Cast, Scheduled Tribe, the minorities and Women category.

(4) A member shall be eligible for re-nomination.
