Section 124: Members, officers and servants of the Board to be public servants

The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Act, 1964State Act of Karnataka · Act 36 of 1964

(1) All members, officers and servants of the Board shall be deemed, when acting or purporting to act in pursuance of the provisions of this Act or any rule or regulation made thereunder, to be public servants within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal 52 Code (Central Act 45 of 1860) and the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947 (Central Act 2 of 1947) for the time being in force.

(2) The words “State Government” and “Government” in section 161 of the Indian Penal Code shall for the purposes of sub-section (1) be deemed to include the Board.
