Section 3: Licensing authority

The Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1964State Act of Karnataka · Act 23 of 1964

The authority having power to grant licences under this Act shall, in every district be the District Magistrate.

Explanation.- In this section, “District Magistrate,” means the Deputy Commissioner exercising the powers of a District Magistrate or an Additional District Magistrate.
